Overview
Terraced gardens and volcanic soil make the highlands East Africa's quiet larder. Walk the terraces with the growers who tend them, and sit down to a farm-to-fire lunch pulled straight from that morning's harvest.
Each day closes slowly, over coffee and tea grown in sight of the table: the origin of our farm-to-fire philosophy, and the calmest weekend we run. Timed for June, when the air is cool and the terraces are green.
