One landscape a season. Nothing to plan.
Each weekend below is fully imagined: the route, the tables, the fires already laid. Leave Nairobi on Friday, come back on Sunday with a few new friends, a lot of stories, and the faint smell of woodsmoke.
Spice Routes & Ocean
Centuries of dhow trade converge in Lamu's coral-stone alleys, where cardamom, coconut, and the ocean's daily catch still share a single plate. Three days of spice markets on foot, a table set to the tide, and a sundowner sail to close the weekend.
Harvest & Highland Air
Terraced gardens and volcanic soil make the highlands East Africa's quiet larder. Walk the terraces with the growers on Saturday morning, sit down to a farm-to-fire lunch pulled from that morning's harvest, and close the weekend slowly over coffee grown in sight of the table. A short drive from Nairobi: the easiest weekend to say yes to.
Grasslands & Fire
The weekend that started it all. Fly out on Friday, wake beneath an acacia to a bespoke bush breakfast, and end Saturday at the ember fire where Maasai cooks turn heritage cuts into our signature Nyama Choma. Back in Nairobi by Sunday evening, smelling faintly of woodsmoke.
Lake & Vine
The year-end weekend. A lakeside table at dusk, a long lunch among the vines, and the whole year toasted with people you'll want to keep. Freshwater fish, garden-to-fire cooking and Rift Valley wines: the weekend that rounds off the year.
Then let's hold a weekend for you.
A milestone birthday, a team that has earned a proper break, a friend group forever saying "one day." Tell us who is coming and we'll plan the weekend around them.
