Spice Route brings Amina's coastal table inland for one night: coconut, cardamom, clove and tamarind, and a fish dish that tastes of the sea even in Nairobi. Amina designs every coastal menu we serve, and this one is the closest thing to her family table that we can set a few hundred kilometres from the water.
Expect to eat with your hands, to pass things to the left, and to ask for the pilau recipe. Amina will smile and tell you it lives in the hands, not on the page.
